We have a key role vacant within Coventry Hearsall Golf Club, that of Communications and Marketing Director.  Job specification below

It is hoped this role will attract applications from people within the Club who have not just the relevant past experience but a desire to move the Club forward and help guide the Board through the Strategic Plan stages over the next 3 years.

Communications and Marketing Director

      

Role Description

                                                                                                                                   

Purpose of the role

To ensure good, effective and timely communication between all sections of the club and the members

To create and manage communication strategies to boost the club’s visibility and member engagement, including internal and external communications, social media, newsletters and public relations

To assist in recruitment and retention of members.

To develop and implement a marketing strategy for the club

Skills required

Ability to gather the views of members and visitors

Approachable and a strong communicator.

Ability to utilise social media and create content

IT skills

Well-developed written communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Provide information on what is valued by the membership and suggest key improvements which will enhance the ‘member experience’, aligning with the club’s Strategic Plan

Communication

  • Support the creation of initiatives to attract new members in line with the club’s Strategic Plan.
  • Create and maintain a communication plan across the business, both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with key members of staff.
  • Arrange the production of regular newsletters for members.
  • Ensure online platforms including the website are monitored to keep content up-to-date and relevant.
  • Support the integration of new members

Analysis and Review

  • Support the creation and analysis of member surveys and member forums ensuring relevant feedback is addressed.
  • Put in place a process for members to make suggestions and complaints, ensuring they are acted upon where appropriate.
  • Regularly review attrition rates to highlight any problems and ensure membership exit surveys are carried out and evaluated.
  • Monitor and analyse performance and impact of the club’s marketing and social media activities

Core Responsibilities

  • Chair and develop the Communication Sub Committee, ensuring relevant staff and volunteers are recruited onto the group.
  • Ensure minutes are taken
  • Provide a report to the Board seven days in advance of meetings.
  • Prepare a draft budget each year

Responsible to: Board of Directors

Term of Office: Three years
