I was surprised and flattered to be invited to consider the role as Club President, a position I had never thought about. After consulting several people I decided to accept the nomination. To be voted in by my fellow members has made me very proud.
You will know I’ve not been at the club very long and traditionally the Presidents appointment has gone to people who have played at Hearsall all their lives. They have loyally served on Committees, as Club Captains etc. I expect that some eyes were raised when I was invited….all I can say is, hold fire…. judge me in a year’s time.
I am proud to be President, I promise to serve this Club, its Members and Staff with enthusiasm, energy and humour.
